I understand that Reality is a priori OPEN (by “Reality” I mean that which IS, prior to anything we may say about it), yet I operate under the assumption that Reality may be segmented (provisionally) into objects with properties and relationships between them. Among those objects is “me” or “self.” More explicitly, I make the segmentation between “self” and not-self, or “Other.” However, endowing this “self” with properties beyond existence is always relational, as a node in a semantic graph (even a stately node) has no content without context. I therefore make the further assumption that the abstract Other is never encountered except in particular manifestation. In other words, I make the (provisional) assumption that there is further (provisional) segmentation of the Other.

What do I mean that Reality is “a priori OPEN”? I mean that the act of questioning Reality presupposes and requires a framework that shapes how responses will be understood. What is answered and how it is understood depends on what I ask, how I ask, and what I mean by it. However, there is no position outside the process of questioning from which to evaluate it without being subject to it. The infinite regress therefore required to satisfy questioning ensures that reality is forever open to complete linguistic closure.
